Merchandising wants a top-3 shortlist per category — the products with the highest total qty sold (summed across all order_items rows for that product), broken out by category.
Columns: category, product_id, total_qty, rnk (1..3). Break ties on total_qty by product_id ascending. Sort by category then rnk ascending. Products with no order_items rows don't appear.
