job_deps (job_name, upstream_job) lists pipeline dependencies: a row means job_name waits for upstream_job to finish. The scheduler can only run a dependency graph without cycles — and it is refusing to start.
List every job that is on a cycle: following upstream_job links from it, you can get back to the job itself. A job that is its own upstream_job is on a cycle. A job that only waits for a job on a cycle, without being on one itself, is not. Cycles in the hidden data are longer than in this sample.
